🎲 Basic Idea
Texas Hold’em is a community-card poker game where players make the best 5-card hand using:
- their two private hole cards
- and five shared community cards on the table.
The goal is to win chips by either having the best hand at showdown or making everyone else fold.
🧩 Step-by-Step Rules
1️⃣ Setup
- Each player is dealt 2 hole cards face down.
- There are blinds:
- The player to the dealer’s left posts the small blind.
- The next player posts the big blind (usually twice the small blind).
These are forced bets to get action started.
2️⃣ Betting Rounds
There are 4 betting rounds:
🔷 Pre-Flop
- Everyone looks at their 2 hole cards.
- Starting with the player left of the big blind, players can:
- Fold: give up their cards
- Call: match the current bet
- Raise: increase the bet
- Betting continues around the table.
🔷 Flop
- The dealer places 3 community cards face up in the middle.
- Another round of betting starts with the player left of the dealer.
🔷 Turn
- A 4th community card (the Turn) is dealt face up.
- Another round of betting.
🔷 River
- The 5th and final community card (the River) is dealt face up.
- Final betting round.
3️⃣ Showdown
- If more than one player remains after the final betting round, players reveal their hands.
- The best 5-card poker hand wins.
- If two players tie with the same hand, they split the pot.
🃏 Hand Rankings (highest to lowest)
- Royal Flush (A♥ K♥ Q♥ J♥ 10♥)
- Straight Flush (5 cards in sequence, same suit)
- Four of a Kind
- Full House (3 of a kind + a pair)

🚨 Other Notes
- If everyone folds except one player, that player wins the pot — they don’t have to show their cards.
- The dealer position and blinds rotate clockwise after each hand.
